Saturday, I was photographing the Delta High School Eagle Invitational. They have six races, four of which depend on school size and gender. The final two races are Girls JV and Boys JV.
I was surprised by the times where a good number of the JV weren't terribly far from what their Varsity teammates were doing. (It seemed that most runners were uninspired and it went from 50 degrees F to 78 from the start of the first race to the end of the second.)
These two were really pushing down the chute, and I saw similar action with a few opponents but not many. It's certainly more interesting when they decide to do more than survive.
